10 Mistakes WWE Will Make At WrestleMania 35
2. No Dean Ambrose
Uncharacteristically, WWE has announced the future departure of a WWE superstar. Dean Ambrose will not be renewing his contract when it expires sometime in April.
Ambrose debuted as a member of The Shield and has been a reliable staple on the roster throughout his time. He was the first WWE Champion entrusted when SmackDown Live! and Raw embarked on the brand split back in 2016.
WWE now has genuine competition for talent in the form of All Elite Wrestling. Not since the days of WCW have WWE received such a threat to their stranglehold on the wrestling world. Even if Ambrose leaves WWE and joins rivals AEW, he deserves one last ‘WrestleMania moment.’
The reality is that Ambrose received his last shining moment in the main event of Fastlane, and will now fade away. We’ll get no Dean Ambrose ‘pipe bomb’, no farewell or emotional goodbye. After Dean's Last Man Standing Match with Drew McIntyre, we might have seen the last of Ambrose in WWE.
