WCW Slamboree 1998 housed one of the biggest pops in company history.

With a battle royal to determine who would challenge Chris Jericho for the WCW Cruiserweight Title that night, the final two competitors came down to perennial job guy Ciclope and former Cruiserweight Champ Juventud Guerrera.

It was here where time stood still, with these two opponents spending a solid minute or more staring at each other. Guerrera offered a handshake - which was initially described as a handshake of respect - before remarkably hopping over the top rope and eliminating himself, thus making Ciclope the winner.

Of course, the big revelation here was Ciclope unmasking to reveal himself as the returning Dean Malenko. Having taken two months off after losing to Jericho at that March's Uncensored PPV, Malenko had to watch the Man of 1,004 Holds mock his father and beat up his brother while he was sat at home.

As for that ginormous pop, that was at the sight of seeing Malenko unmasking here at Slamboree. Seriously, if you've never seen this moment, the noise from the Worcester, Massachusetts crowd at The Centrum is insane.
