10 MORE Attempted WWE Repackages That Failed Miserably

7. The Pitbulls

Quite why WWE decided to adapt a moderately successful '90s ECW tag team for modern wrestling audiences in 2006 is anyone's guess, but that's exactly what the company did with midcarders Jamie Noble and Kid Kash, who were repackaged as an oddball recreation of Gary Wolfe and Anthony Durante's old Pitbulls tandem.

Noble, a former Cruiserweight Champion, had recently returned to the company following a stint in Ring Of Honor. He was moderately over with his hot-headed redneck act a few years prior, but WWE decided to ditch this character, and instead paired the un-gimmicked Noble with another exciting cruiser in Kid Kash. They spent a few months duffing around on the C-shows but eventually adopted The Pitbulls' old act, aping everything from their general mannerisms to the steel chains they'd carry to the ring, and it went nowhere.

WWE took two multi-talented athletes and reduced them to barking to the crowd, scurrying around the ring, and wearing collars. They sunk within a few weeks, and after coming together with Noble in June, Kash was released by the company in September, completing this monumental farce.
