René Duprée's WWE run was rough. He was with the company for four years, but ran afoul of several notoriously prickly backstage personalities throughout this time, and even fell out with tag partner Sylvain Grenier during La Resistance's original run.

Released a few months after violating the company's Wellness Policy, Duprée departed with a long list of enemies, with Bob Holly standing as the most notable. The French-Canadian has spoken openly about the brutal backstage hazing he endured as a young WWE Superstar. Holly was often among the culprits, but their relationship didn't truly hit the skids until November 2004.

As recounted by Duprée himself, Bob was angered when René caught a speeding ticket on a rental car registered in Holly's name, and the fine went unanswered for several months. This left 'Hardcore' with a hefty bill to pay, and he responded in the only way he knew how: by blasting Duprée with a full force chairshot during a house show match.

Holly was famous for stiffing younger opponents in the ring, and he continued to roughouse René whenever they wrestled, with the duo working many more house show bouts over the years.
