10 More Wrestling Gimmicks Blatantly Stolen From Hollywood
5. Dean Malenko - James Bond
Dean Malenko might be most fondly remembered for his "Man of 1,000 Holds" character in WCW, but he was also briefly - and hilariously - shoehorned into a James Bond-esque ladies man gimmick in WWE in mid-2000, nicknamed "Double Ho Seven" courtesy of The Godfather.
His most memorable angle involved him trying to win the affections of Lita, but nothing has stuck more than his outrageously catchy Bond-aping entrance theme and titantron, the former being eventually remixed and given to Cesaro for a while.
Malenko's in-ring WWE run may have been a disappointingly damp squib, instead enjoying much more success behind the scenes, his short stint as a dime-store 007 was nevertheless a so-bad-it's-good delight.
