10 MORE Wrestling Matches That Became Inadvertently Infamous

1. Brock Lesnar Vs Roman Reigns (WWE WrestleMania 34)

The latest collapse between customer and company in WWE's recent chequered past with their own fanbase, WrestleMania 34's tumultuous main event between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns was a match that effectively lost the live audience component despite shocking attempts to keep them engaged.

Having defeated everybody in his way with a solitary F5 for his entire year on top as Universal Champion, Lesnar's arc (and the investment by the company made in it) was directly dependent on the crowd's response to Roman's first kick out. That they didn't even bat an eyelid at his fifth one having already bore witness to utter savagery from 'The Beast' and a dramatic ringside table spot didn't bode well for what followed.

Attempting to convey desperation (despite the only panic in the entire arena coming from those who thought the match might end before they'd released their beachballs), Lesnar bludgeoned Reigns in the same manner he did Randy Orton at SummerSlam 2016 to build to a sixth F5 following a last unlikely salvo from 'The Big Dog'.

Fans had literally seen enough by the seventh hour of the 'Show Of Shows', but their tolerance for Roman (and to a lesser extent, the tired repetitiveness of Lesnar's assaults) had reached rock bottom before the bell had even rang.
