It's not hard to see why WWE weren't exactly in a rush to throw Ted DiBiase back into the bumping game during the returning legend's comeback to the company on NXT in 2021.

With The Million Dollar Man now well into his sixties, WWE felt that the best call was to probably have the iconic presence fall back onto a bunch of security guards when his storyline involving LA Knight and Cameron Grimes inevitably got physical.

But DiBiase was having none of it.

As he'd eventually explain to Fightful down the road, Ted had no intention of tumbling into the safe pairs of hands that WWE wanted to plant next to the Million Dollar Championship during Knight's coronation as the newest champ.

And in response to this safer bump, Ted defiantly stated, "Nuh-uh. I’m gonna do what I’ve done all my life, probably 20 to 30 times a night. The ring is a very good ring, I’m just gonna take the bump."

And sure enough, the chuckling legend did exactly that in the end, eating Knight's shot to the mug before absolutely nailing a flat back onto the canvas.

Insert "you still got it" chants here.
