10 Most Absurd Characters In WrestleMania History

4. Red Rooster

As the Red Rooster, Terry Taylor sported a mohawk and crowed like the farm animal. No, really. Take a look for yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nogudt0dNLc The character was absolutely absurd, the very definition of McMahon's so-called creative genius run amok. It stretched the limitations of common sense wrestling booking and effectively ruined any shot Taylor had of ever being taken seriously by WWE fans. The talented worker had his credibility irreparably damaged by the gimmick and, at WrestleMania V, the gimmick was forever immortalized when it somehow was deemed worthy of a spot on the biggest card of the year. After a split from the most hated manager in professional wrestling, the Rooster found himself squaring off with Bobby Heenan in singles competition. With no Brooklyn Brawler, or any other members of the Heenan Family around to save the bleach blonde second, the Red Rooster was able to pick up the biggest win of his WWE stint. Taylor would return to WWE in 1993 but simply could not erase the stink of the Rooster off of him.
