10 Most Annoying Things In WWE Right Now
6. Where Are The Tag Champs?
WWE used to have tag divisions, right? Moreover, both shows had sets of shiny silver belts that indicated who were the champions of those divisions. And there were teams that held these shiny gold belts, and they were called the tag champions. This isn't just a fever dream, surely.
Sarcasm aside, in the new age of co-branded PPVs, it's clear which belts are taking a heavy relegation in regards to storytelling. Neither the Bludgeon Brothers nor the Woken Warriors had any programs or matches going into Backlash, and have not been fixtures on television aside from the odd squash or vignette. Granted, on this week's SmackDown, there was actually a match set up for the tag titles at Money in the Bank between the Bludgeons and Gallows and Anderson (next stop: Kickoff Show!).
Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy, meanwhile? The RAW tag division is so barren and non-existent, even they don't factor into things. The show is more interested in the ongoing escapades of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel than it is in the actual champions.
Needless to say, this laissez-faire attitude to what should arguably be the deepest and most exciting divisions in the company is not appreciated amongst the WWE faithful.
