10 Most Badass Wrestlers In The World Today

5. WALTER

Jon Moxley
Defiant Wrestling / Tony Knox

An old-school wrestling ring general whose aura has been preserved through what could've been a rough transition from the indies to WWE, WALTER doesn't need to open his mouth to project badassery.

His arsenal is simple but devastating. Suplexes send opponents flying across the canvas, bodyslams shake the ring and rattle its post, and on the rare occasions WALTER flies, he lands with crushing impact. The Gojira Clutch is a resthold to most wrestlers; to WALTER, it's a death sentence. And then there are the chops. Designed to break flesh, bruise ribs, and crush spirits, they echo around buildings with disgusting, wince-including crackles, compounding their status amongst wrestling's most feared strikes.

But WALTER's brutally simple offense is only part of what makes him so imposing. It's the way he carries himself, the way he casts his character across a building and through the television screen, that seals the deal. This is a gruff, hardnosed final boss who knows how to present himself as a commanding, intelligent Goliath and a force of nature between the ropes. With WALTER, one stare conjures more "sh*t just got real" energy than most wrestlers could pull with a railroad spike in their hand.
