Who says brutal moments can't be comedic as well?

Tazz's 2000 feud with Jerry Lawler and JR was an oft-forgotten dark storyline, even by the Attitude Era's cutthroat standards. The ECW legend debuted at the Royal Rumble, defeating Kurt Angle in short order before quickly losing momentum. A break to recover from injury and subsequent heel turn gave him a second momentum boost, and he entered into a particularly nasty rivalry with JR and King, ambushing the pair on numerous occasions and dishing out one particularly visceral beatdown to the Memphis icon.

Things came to a head at SummerSlam, when Tazz faced Lawler in an undercard match which the heel dominated. With King locked in a Tazzmission, the usually unassuming JR smashed a candy jar over Tazz's head, allowing his oblivious commentary partner to pick up a surprise win.

Although a heartwarming and funny moment overall, the spot was still a shockingly visceral one - particularly as it was dealt out by figure usually reluctant to physically involve himself in the action.
