Many people are rightfully quick to lavish praise on rivalries such as Trish Stratus vs. Lita and Sasha Banks vs. Bayley, but when it comes to modern-day women's wrestling, no rivalry can top the brilliant work that Gail Kim and Awesome Kong did together in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling.

These rivals were leading the charge when the Knockouts Division was wowing on a weekly basis, and their battles became one of the hottest things in the industry for a good few years. Even if they hadn't touched in months, there was an instant buzz at hearing that Kim and Kong were going to be on screen together at one point.

When it comes to the pair's best match, it's a tough call. But their very best bout could well be their most brutal. That being a No DQ contest at TNA's Final Resolution 2008 show.

To caveat, the violence on display here may not be quite as grotesque as some of the other entries featured in this list, but this No DQ offering deserves so much praise for how ahead of its time it was back in '08. Not only was this the sort of match rarely seen from female talent, it was a war rarely seen from male or female wrestlers in mainstream promotions back then.

Gail Kim and Awesome Kong were perfect dance partners, and at Final Destination 2008 these two put on a bone-crunching, heavy-hitting classic that showcased mesmerising physicality but also added a fantastic chapter to one of modern wrestling's truly great rivalries.
