10 Most Controversial Wrestling Tweets Ever

3. The Tony Khan Vs. CM Punk Vs. Randy Orton Triple Threat Match

It started with the only real impression CM Punk made in his capacity as a WWE Backstage analyst (i.e., when he wasn't on the show).

Punk, in a bid to drum up some interest ahead of his culture-changing role - he did lower his market value, if that counts - cheekily tagged AEW owner Tony Khan in a tweet knowing he couldn't really discuss the competition on FOX's not-affiliated-honest panel show. "No one is safe," proclaimed Punk, who subsequently let WWE off rather lightly in his analysis (you'll never, ever convince me that he didn't Amit Rana his viewing of Monday Night RAW with one eye on the ice hockey).

This successfully baited Khan, and if it was gotten-to, it was good patter gotten-to: "No one is safe? Sounds like a plane full of wrestlers in Saudi Arabia!"

Petty but exhilarating stuff - imagine Eric Bischoff virtually accusing Vince McMahon of narrowly avoiding an international incident on Nitro, whew - Randy Orton chimed in to accuse Tony's father of corruption of his own, which turned out to be baseless.

Khan emptied the chamber, mentioned Orton's recent, terrible use of the N-word, and wrestling fans everywhere were dumbfounded that three major players showed their a*se on Twitter.

Amazing stuff.
