7. Reigns, Corbin, And The Feud That Wouldn't Die
Here we see the company’s top guy, Roman Reigns, along with his cousins The Usos, covering Baron Corbin in dog food. It’s hard to know where to start with this one: an insultingly slapstick conclusion to a feud that outstayed its welcome and then some.
Between the end of 2019 and late February 2020, it seemed that Baron Corbin vs Roman Reigns would never, ever reach its conclusion. The two fought at every opportunity, putting on variations of the same match each week on Smackdown, adding or subtracting the Usos, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode as necessary.
“Loser eats dog food” is a seldom seen WWE stipulation, and for good reason - dignified, it ain’t. Pet chow was flung every which way for a while, before an episode of Smackdown yielded the above snap.
It beggars belief that WWE thought this was the logical next step for Roman Reigns, who still wasn’t quite getting over as they’d have liked as the company’s top face. Shockingly, this wasn’t the missing piece of the puzzle.
