Since 1992, UK fans have been begging WWE to bring another show the level of SummerSlam to British shores. The company have returned annually since the mid-90s, but only for exclusive events like Rebellion, One Night Only, or to tape weekly regulars like Raw and SmackDown. SummerSlam '92 was bigger than that.

For Davey Boy Smith, winning the Intercontinental Title in the main event against brother-in-law Bret Hart was momentous. The British Bulldog was taken by the unwavering support of his countrymen, so much so that Bret even revealed in his book how such pressure weighed on Smith's shoulders and made it challenging for him to live up to the expectations.

Listen to that roar when Bulldog cradled Hart for the victory. Cameras instantly panned over to the 80,000 strong crowd jumping around before focusing on a teary-eyed Diana Hart. This meant the world to UK fans, and the same could be said for Smith's wife and family.
