10 Most Hated WWE PPV Main Events Ever

8. Bam Bam Bigelow Vs. Lawrence Taylor - WrestleMania XI

There have been some really disappointing WrestleMania main events over the years, and although WrestleMania XI's wasn't the worst, the fact that a celebrity guest star got the most coveted spot of the year remains a sore spot for some.

NFL superstar Lawrence Taylor and perennial wrestling villain Bam Bam Bigelow had an altercation at the 1995 Royal Rumble, and Bigelow soon challenged Taylor to a match. That bout ended up as the main event of WrestleMania, and while it did get some coveted attention from mainstream media, it didn't really do anything for business.

Instead, some would argue, it actually hurt wrestling. While Taylor was great for a non-wrestler having his first match, the fact still remained that he was limited. Bigelow had to carry the match, and when he lost, it only served to make WWE, as a whole, look weak. Plus, despite Taylor's ability, the match was still poor overall, and didn't need to be the headliner for the show.
