5. The Undertaker Vs. The Undertaker - SummerSlam 1994

At Royal Rumble 1994, The Undertaker lost a casket match to Yokozuna. After the bout, he floated up to the heavens as an ominous video played on the TitanTron. That would mark "The Phenom's" last appearance in the company for many months.

During the summer, the company created buzz that The Undertaker was on his way back, but when he actually returned, it was clearly not the same man. Paul Bearer spoke to the impostor, telling him that he was nothing but a fraud and that the real deal was coming back soon. That set up a showdown between the two at SummerSlam.

A fake Undertaker who couldn't really work would have been bad enough, but someone made the decision that the match should close out the show. Therefore, a steel cage WWE Championship match between Bret and Owen Hart - widely considered one of the best matches in wrestling history - was a semi-main event underneath a nine-minute-long culmination to a storyline that never got over. The match was lousy, and today it's remembered as an embarrassment.
