December 11, 2014: The night that made the wrestling world sit up and take notice of NXT. Sami Zayns road to redemption reached its apex at TakeOver: R Evolution, as he challenged Adrian Neville for the NXT Championship. The event saw the much anticipated debut of Zayn's long time friend Kevin Owens, who certainly made an indelible impact on the night. Fight Owens Fight took on CJ Parker before making his intentions clear at the end of the night. Finn Bálor was the other headline stealer at R Evolution as his custom war paint sent the NXT Universe in attendance into raptures. The Irishman and Hideo Itami took on The Ascension. NXT Womens Champion Charlotte turned back the challenge of former BFF Sasha Banks, while Tag Team Champions The Lucha Dragons took on The Vaudevillains. The ending alone is what took NXT to a completely new stratosphere. Something that is a must see for any WWE fan. The cream of NXT's crop aren't too far away from making an impact on the main roster and if their performances in developmental are anything to go by, the future of WWE is in very safe hands.
