Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins have been making waves in WWE for quite some time now. Given the emergence of a number of young stars in recent months, The Shield's rise to recent and upcoming pay-per-view main events illustrates that these three men are about ready to be pushed as individual stars. How WWE achieve this, however, will be one of the most captivating features of WWE television in the coming months. The consensus appears to be that Reigns is the superstar that, of the three, is most ready for stardom. There has even been mention among some fans of a push towards the main event of next year's Wrestlemania. Darren Ambrose holds the distinction of having held the U.S Championship for a WWE record of 351 days, and Seth Rollins is one of the most exciting in-ring talents in the company. Prior to their feud with the Authority and Evolution, The Shield's feud with the Wyatt Family was an amazing part of WWE TV. Payback sees the first genuine suggestion of a Shield split, which could be the consequence if they are to lose to Evolution in their No Hold Barred Elimination match at the event. As a trio, The Shield have been a dominant force within the company, but with many now calling for the superstars to embark on singles careers, will WWE keep the 'Hounds of Justice' together or find a way of separating them, perhaps paving the way for some meaningful feuds between the stars based on their history as a faction? There is no doubt that the time between now and Summerslam is pivotal for The Shield, and the way in which WWE chooses to proceed with these three excellent superstars during this time frame will have us on the edge of our seats over the summer.
