10 Most Important Superstars On The Road To WWE Summerslam 2014

7. Cesaro

So, after a fall out with former tag partner Jack Swagger, Cesaro wins the Andre the Giant Battle Royal at Wrestlemania XXX. Not only does he win the prestigious Battle Royal, named after one of the greatest WWE legends of all time, he does so by slamming Big Show in a manner reminiscent of Hulk Hogan's famous slam on Andre, dumping him over the top rope. So, Cesaro is presumably now a face, and in epic style. Right? Right. Wrong! The night after Wrestlemaina, Cesaro confirms that he is breaking ties with Swagger and Zeb Colter by aligning himself with possibly the greatest heel manager of all time, Paul Heyman. So after the fanfare of Cesaro's Wrestlemania win, WWE take the decision to make Cesaro a Paul Heyman guy. The nature of Heyman's character, combined with his client Brock Lesnar's historic and streak-breaking win over Undertaker at Wrestlemaina, means that the former ECW supremo is not turning face anytime soon, if ever. If you were asked to think of one personality in WWE that could never be a face, you would do well to find a more appropriate answer that Paul Heyman. This certainly makes Cesaro a heel by default. What looked to be a resultant feud between Cesaro and former tag partner Swagger was quickly dissolved, and Cesaro was quickly thrust into a U.S. Title programme with Sheamus. The feud already has wrestling fans speculating, with a potential double-turn in the offing throughout the feud. Fans appear to want to cheer Cesaro, and a heel turn would most certainly freshen up Sheamus' character and facilitate a run akin to that which he enjoyed as WWE Champion in the early stages of his career with the company. Will Heyman double-cross Cesaro and align himself with the Irishman? Will the two superstars remain cast in their current roles? The next instalment of the feud takes place with a U.S. Title match at Payback.
