10 Most Indestructible Wrestlers Of All Time
4. The Undertaker
The Undertaker has been WWE’s most loyal employee, staying with Vince for over 25 years. No matter how cheesy the storyline, no matter how bad the opponent, or no matter how hurt he was, Undertaker has kept returning to give back to the company that made him a legend.
The Undertaker’s career hasn’t been without setbacks, however; in fact, there have been numerous stories of the man working despite considerable damage to his body. Triple H recalled one night when Undertaker had severely bruised ribs, but he taped them up without so much as a second thought.
He has also worked HIAC matches with two separate injuries: in 1998 he wrestled (and climbed the cage) with a broken foot, and in 2002, he brawled with Brock Lesnar with a legitimately broken hand.
Undertaker has suffered so much damage over the course of his career, yet he powered through the pain to work at WrestleMania. Even after suffering serious shoulder, neck, and hip injuries, as well as broken orbital bones and concussions, Undertaker simply will not stay down.
His gimmick has been centered on the phrase, ‘How can you kill that which cannot be destroyed?’. Although that phrase is meant to describe the Undertaker character, it also defines the man behind the gimmick just as much.
