10 Most Infuriating Roman Reigns WWE Moments
7. Rubbing Salt In The Wound - Fastlane 2015
When Roman Reigns - and not Daniel Bryan - won the 2015 Royal Rumble match, fans were furious. The best course of action heading to WrestleMania probably would have been to drum up new programs for both men immediately, but that would have made too much sense - instead, it was determined that Reigns and Bryan would clash at Fastlane, with the winner going to WrestleMania to take on Brock Lesnar.
Fans' hopes that Bryan - who had never lost the WWE Championship - would get a chance to reclaim his belt may have been dashed, but all of a sudden, they were revived again. Surely, the company had come to realize the error of its ways, and Bryan would be slotted into the main event of a saved WrestleMania.
Nope. Instead, the whole purpose of the rivalry was for Daniel Bryan to endorse Roman Reigns. The two men had what was Reigns's best singles match up to that point, and Reigns won cleanly with the Spear. After the match, Bryan shook his hand and the following evening, Bryan put him over in an interview. WWE badly misjudged what the fans wanted to see, and this all served to make Reigns even more hated.
