10 Most Infuriating Roman Reigns WWE Moments
6. Give Me A Break - Royal Rumble 2016
It's become increasingly apparent over the past couple of years that WWE - or at least the Raw brand - revolves around Roman Reigns. Still, it never felt more like "The Roman Reigns Show" than at Royal Rumble 2016.
In the weeks leading up to the event, the company had actually managed to get Reigns over as a babyface via feuds with Sheamus and Vince McMahon - however, it was all temporary, and by the Rumble itself (where Reigns entered at #1 and defended his title), he was being booed vociferously again.
The worst part of the match came when Reigns was taken out by an attack from The League of Nations. The heel stable didn't eliminate him, but they did pull him outside the ring and put him through a table. The injured Reigns then headed to the back, rejoining the match later on.
Apparently, someone thought that having Reigns stretchered out would make him look weak - but they didn't realize that having him choose to leave the match of his own volition, even temporarily, was much worse. Even Reigns's depiction as a fighting champion was hurt by this bit of booking. Nevertheless, he was the centerpiece of the match and of programming going forward.
