10 Most Insane WWE Royal Rumble Spots Ever

Here's a nifty spot WWE aren't going to be talking about any time soon, and for more than one reason.

Not only is Chris Benoit persona non grata in the company, but Chris Jericho has since signed for AEW and so he won't be mentioned much either. Just as well the WWE Network is there then, because it lets everyone look back to the days when both were amongst the promotion's top workhorses. They loved a meaty bump too.

During the pair's Intercontinental Title Ladder brawl at the 2001 Rumble, Benoit went for his usual dive through the ropes to the outside. It was a spot fans had seen countless times, but Y2J had a little surprise for everyone. He grabbed a nearby steel chair and thwacked it against his opponent's skull on the way down.

Admittedly, this kind of concussion-inducing bump is hard to watch knowing what happened years later. If you can look past that and seek solace in the magic of the moment, then there's much to enjoy in the match generally.
