10 Most Larger Than Life Wrestlers In The World Today

2. The Fiend

Velveteen Dream
WWE

What a turn around for Bray Wyatt, who hadn't been seen for almost a full year prior to his reinvention with The Fiend earlier in 2019.

WWE successfully built anticipation for his return by letting his creative mind loose in the Firefly Fun House. The series' original eight-segment run brought Bray back to life through a bold new universe informed by his past, but very much looking to the future, with more of The Fiend's dark edge pushing through the colourful veneer every time. Then came the attacks on Mick Foley, Finn Balor, and Kurt Angle, and a pitch-perfect SummerSlam re-debut that nailed every aspect of the new gimmick's presentation.

This is the kind of act that only really works in WWE's Sports entertainment universe, and it is working. The new Bray Wyatt feels bigger than 'The Eater of Worlds' ever did, even at his peak. Everyone involved in putting it together deserves great credit for concocting a character that leaps off the screen like nothing else in wrestling at the moment.

Let's just hope they don't screw it up as The Fiend's appearances increase...
