During the past two years, WWE has released a lot of talented wrestlers. But few are as talented – and misused – as Ember Moon.

Moon has eye-popping offense and a unique look. She should have been an easy, can’t-miss superstar for WWE, but Moon found herself floundering on the main roster before an injury derailed her for most of 2020. She returned in NXT, where she achieved some success in a tag team with Shotzi Blackheart.

But NXT 2.0 wasn’t going to be very kind to Ember, and that was evidenced by her loss last month to Mandy Rose in less than 5 minutes. Still, Moon is immensely talented, so maybe she puts over a couple of newcomers or serves as a mentor for one in a tag team before returning to the main roster to strengthen their women’s divisions, right?

Nope. Moon was given her walking papers, which assumes that WWE couldn’t think of a single thing for her to do. This company…
