4. Was Once Offered To Revive The Midnight Express

Story: As if being offered the chance to be both deaf and mute wasn't enough of a selling point for the man, Copeland was also the recipient of one proposition from the WWF creative team which he didn't exactly see as a route to the top of the industry. Before both he and Sean Morley - who would go on to play the pornstar gimmick of 'Val Venis' - hit the main roster, the future Edge was hit with one suggestion from the writing staff, that both he and Morley team up as a reprise of the infamous tag-team, The Midnight Express. Thinking it was a horrible idea, both guys knocked it back, choosing to go their separate ways. Why People Believe It: The WWF did actually promote a team under the gimmick of a "new and improved" Midnight Express. Bob Holly and Bart Gunn were the unfortunate souls tasked with making it a success, something which seemed improbable in the WWF of 1998. Should We Believe It: Both Edge and Val Venis have talked about this willingly, laughing it off as a preposterous suggestion. It's been revealed that their prospective names would have been 'Adorable Adam' and 'Sensual Sean', something which may have had them laughed out of arenas. At least it was better than Sexton Hardcastle.
