3. Fell Out With Val Venis Once He Divorced His Sister
Story: Clearly a hit with the ladies, Adam Copeland married Alanah Morley in 2001. Eagle-eyed wrestling fans may notice that the woman's surname is the same as the real name of one Val Venis, who is called Sean Morley. That's because, yes, Alanah was his sister. Divorcing in 2004, the story goes that Venis was furious with his friend for the way in which he treated his flesh and blood, reportedly seeing other women behind her back whilst out on the road. It's important to note that there are no clear facts on this one, but there has been rumoured heat between both men for years due to this incident. Why People Believe It: It makes sense that Venis would be miffed at Edge for divorcing his sister, because it likely took a lot of deliberation for him to even allow his younger sibling to get involved with a professional wrestler. As someone who had worked in the industry for years, Venis knew that the 'boys will be boys'. Should We Believe It: Only those involved really know the full story, but Copeland hasn't exactly been denied the opportunity to be with some beautiful women. A hit with the female species generally, and given the trappings that fame brings, there's a decent chance that both Morley siblings found out something Edge didn't want them too.
