Obviously, both Sting and Lex Luger experienced a lot of significant success as singles wrestlers. Both had numerous runs as WCW World Champion, but there was also a near-constant bond between the pair which ran pretty much consistently throughout the WCW timeline. Despite their more established nature as individuals, Luger and Sting had great chemistry together.

Never was this more evident than at the very first SuperBrawl show in 1991. Teaming together to face The Steiner Brothers, Sting and Lex didn't come across as singles stars forging a temporary alliance. It wouldn't be the last time they would team together either, Sting and Luger would hold the WCW World Tag-Team Titles for 154 days in 1996. Things only started to sour between the duo once the nWo angle started to heat up that Summer.

Even years later, Sting and Luger teamed briefly on occasion. As late on in WCW's cycle as 1999, they were united on screen. The unit did split for the purpose of matches against one another from time to time, but whenever Sting and Lex Luger appeared as a team they were incredibly over with WCW fans.
