4. Hardcore Holly Says The Word 'Sh*t' At WrestleMania 2000

In the landmark television series 'Twin Peaks', the intrepid, endearing FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper gives his buddy cop Harry Truman some priceless advice, the key to wellbeing:

Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen.

Your writer has, on several occasions, gifted himself a YouTube clip of that time Hardcore Holly called Michael Cole a "little sh*thead" at a f*cking WrestleMania.

Some context: the ending to the Hardcore Title Battle Royal was botched, horrendously, and Hardcore Holly was not meant to emerge as the champion. An already cranky, miserable and intimidating man in his resting state was even more pissed than usual, and was unprepared to provide some post-match comments. This accounted for some flubs, not that the man was Ric Flair, though that didn't prevent him of course from later pitching a Ric Flair-esque run in which he'd win the bey-ult, and then beat everybody.

The more Holly got in his own way, the more he realised that a much more puny, innocent man stood in his way: Cole. He projected his failings onto him, and at the end of a bitter rant, threatened to break his ass in half before delivering the immortal line. Punching down is not good. It breaks the rule of comedy.

But Cole is more of a cyborg soundboard than a man made of flesh, so he doesn't count.
