10 Most Pointless WWE Returns
2. D-Lo Brown
D-Lo Brown was one of the Attitude Era's great solid if unspectacular workers, briefly forming part of The Rock's Nation of Domination before going on to singles glory by holding the European and Intercontinental Championships at the same time in 1998.
There was no great demand for WWE to bring him back, but it was a pleasant surprise when he randomly popped up on a June 2008 episode of Monday Night Raw, about five and a half years since his last appearance with the company.
From there, he feuded briefly with Santino Marella before suddenly finding screen time difficult to come by. By January of the following year, he was out of a job, joined by fellow nineties veteran Val Venis and the legendary Bam Neely.
D-Lo himself can't have had too many complaints: he got a taste of mainstream exposure for the first time in half a decade and probably earned more money than he would have otherwise made on the indies in the process. For WWE, however, it served no particular end.
