From November, 1990 until May, 2000, The Undertaker was always cast as supernatural or demonic; no hints of a real-life away from the character were dropped outside of an elaborate backstory involving the likes of Paul Bearer and Kane that seemed to morph without rhyme or reason.

That all changed when 'Taker returned from some time off at the Judgment Day 2000 pay-per-view and interfered in the WWF Title Iron Man Match between The Rock and Triple H.

Riding a motorcycle to the ring and played back into the hearts of fans by the then-current sounds of Kid Rock, this rebranded Undertaker had more of a realistic aura that would only be heightened by storylines exploring more of his life away from the ring.

Not everyone was keen, and there were older fans at the time who worried that Undertaker was straying too far from the roots of his wildly successful character; many of those fears would be allayed by 'Taker's work as a biker, but it's true that the initial change was divisive.
