10 Most Polarizing Wrestlers Working Today
2. CM Punk
In Brain Azarello's Joker graphic novel, there's a scene where one of the clown prince of crime's henchman explains that his boss' mood is like the weather - a sunny, upbeat Joker cheers everbody up, while a downcast clown means everyone is about to have a terrible day.
It's a feeling you can imagine CM Punk's peers can identify with.
CM Punk is very much a man of two halves. On the one hand, there's Punk the super-worker - the man who elevates his peers (just look at what he did with Drew McIntyre), puts on wrestling clinics and goes out of his way to encourage and advise upcoming superstars. Then, there's the thin-skinned, wildly unprofessional prima donna who publicly eviscerates his colleagues, punches out his co-workers and constantly stands on the knife-edge between passion and pugilism.
Whether you love or loathe Punk very much depends on which half of his personality you choose to focus on. But one thing's for sure - when all is said and done, C.M. Punk will go down as one of the most unmissable acts of this or any other generation.
