10 Most Polarizing Wrestlers Working Today

1. Jey Uso

Jey Uso
WWE

Jey Uso is a phenomenon. An anomaly. A phenomaly.

Apologies for the gross abuse of the English language. But it's hard to find the words to describe a man who has his Royal Rumble win castigated on YouTube, yet is showered with such love and affection by live fans that he breaks down on camera.

How to explain such a disparity? To start, it's easy to see where Jey Uso's fans are coming from. His "Yeet!" catchphrase is insanely catchy and popular, and WWE have marketed it perfectly. Even more importantly, however, is that Jey Uso is a genuinely excellent promo. When Jey places his heart on his sleeve, fans can't help but respond to it and create a genuine emotional connection with him - hence Jey being literally moved to tears by their support during his Royal Rumble celebration.

However, he is not the complete package. Hardcore fans - i.e., those most likely to frequent the internet and leave negative YouTube feedback - tend to point out that his in-ring record as a singles star is spotty, to say the least. He put on one of the worst WrestleMania matches of all time last year, and his previous bout against Gunther did absolutely nothing to make fans salivate over the prospect over their upcoming rematch.

Whichever side of UsoMania you fall one, though, there's one thing we can all agree on - everybody will be yeeting their opinions over Jey Uso for a long time to come.
