1. The Simple Steel Chair

Whether used by Edge and Christian as part of their 'Con-Chair-To' spot or bashed against The Rock's head by Steve Austin at WrestleMania X-Seven, the steel chair shot is timeless. It's not difficult to see why wrestlers have used chairs time and time again, as the object makes a satisfying crack when colliding with flesh.

Today, WWE have banned unprotected chair shots to the head. This was a good decision, because it's obviously dangerous to continue absorbing such impact to the skull. Now, it's much more common for wrestlers to be hit with a chair to the spine, something that still hurts yet doesn't come with the same threat of concussion.

Steel chairs are something that will be used in WWE until the end of time - fans will never tire of seeing the weapon. That whip sound the seated part of the chair makes when it collides with a wrestler is satisfying, after all.

Just like announce table bumps, chairs are a regular part of pay-per-view main events. They provide a simple way to add drama, and have resulted in countless wins, heel turns, and even false finishes.
