10 Most Shocking Kick Outs In WWE History

5. Mankind - King Of The Ring 1998

While this entry isn't a "kick out" in the traditional definition of the word, Mick Foley's ability to kick out of what was essentially a human car crash in this bout demands inclusion. The fortitude required to roll off the stretcher and endure another ten minutes of brutality was a kick out that borders on the insane.

In the long and illustrious history of WWE, no-one has ever taken a beating that even comes close to the violent s**t-kicking that Mick Foley endured at King of the Ring 1998. Aside from the obvious launch off the top of the cell and the fall through it that followed, Foley also endured several unforgiving shots with the steel steps and two separate back bumps onto thumbtacks. With his tooth hanging out of his nose and the equilibrium of a metronome, how Foley was even standing is a mystery for the ages.

Mick Foley has stated that his switches from heel to face and back as Mankind, Dude Love and Cactus Jack had left him with a considerable loss of momentum when he entered the King of the Ring in Pittsburgh. By the time he left the structure, that momentum would never falter again. An undying respect from the wrestling community was tattooed to his soul for life.
