10 Most Shocking Kick Outs In WWE History

2. Shawn Michaels - WrestleMania 25

Widely regarded as the greatest WrestleMania match of all time, Shawn Michaels' quest to end The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania had everything the fans could ask for in a match. Logical storytelling, perfect pacing and enough high spots to provide thrills along the way.

Perhaps the biggest moment of the match itself was when The Undertaker hit HBK with the dreaded Tombstone. Virtually every man that had felt it before had fallen to the protected move, with only a select few to have ever kicked out of it. Meanwhile, the number of those that had survived the move to continue on at WrestleMania was fewer still.

When Michaels did kick out of the Tombstone at WrestleMania 25, the look on Undertaker's face told the story in one single expression. Disbelief, despair, devastation - all in a single glance. The moment made the match. It was the turning point that elevated the bout from a great match to an all-time classic, solidifying the rematch to come one year later.

'The Heartbreak Kid' would inevitably lose the bout after suffering yet another Tombstone Piledriver, but the kick out of the first remains one of the most memorable moments in the history of 'The Streak'.
