10 Most Shocking WWE Wellness Policy Violations
8. Edge
Despite being at the height of his career at the time, Edge made a costly mistake in 2007 when he was suspended alongside a number of other WWE Superstars after being connected to the Signature Pharmacy scandal. A Sports Illustrated expose revealed that he, along with the likes of William Regal, Chavo Guerrero, and Booker T, had illegally bought performance-enhancing drugs via an online pharmacy.
It was revealed that between 2004 to 2007, Edge had been using two different versions of human growth hormone and a steroid, so WWE was left with no other choice than to take action.
Ultimately, this didn't hurt the Rated-R Superstar's career and he was probably lucky that so many other high-profile names got caught up in the scandal both in and outside the world of pro wrestling. Had that not been the case, WWE may very well have chosen to make an example of him but he instead remained a top star right up until his retirement in 2011.
