10 Most Soul-Destroying WrestleMania Moments

2. Sheamus Pins Daniel Bryan In 18 Seconds (WrestleMania XXVIII)

Almost exactly a full 12 months on from Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler going 14 minutes, Sheamus and Daniel Bryan were handed just 18 seconds to work with. This was actually the second time both men had been left disappointed by their positioning at WrestleMania, after only working the pre-show at 'Mania XXVII.

For 'Mania XXVIII, Bryan was defending the World Heavyweight Title against his Irish peer. One quick Brogue Kick later, he was staring at the lights and no longer the champion, Sheamus was. Fans reacted more out of shock than anything else, some hadn't even properly taken their seats before it was all over.

WrestleMania is the kind of event made for amazing in-ring workers like Daniel Bryan, so it's upsetting to think one of his appearances on the show was in such a lowly role. Effectively, Daniel Bryan was treated like a jobber on the biggest event of the year, and that can't sit well with any wrestling fans.
