With a title run of 287 days, Neville was the longest-reigning NXT Champion in history until Finn Bálor broke his record by just a few days in April 2016.

Unfortunately for Neville, that developmental success didn’t quite translate onto the main roster, and after two-and-a-half years in the big leagues, he’s still without a world title. But he does earn brownie points for having well-and-truly found his feet in the Cruiserweight division.

Neville’s recent run as King of the Cruiserweights saw him return in December of 2016, win the title the following month, and go on to hold the belt for almost seven months. And though he lost just it before this year’s SummerSlam, he won it right back the very next week and frankly looks peerless in the Cruiserweight ranks.

He’s essentially become the Brock Lesnar of the division, only with a strong Geordie accent and a much better promo. And though he may not be at the top of the card like he was in NXT, he’s certainly found his niche and been able to establish himself as one of the few success stories of the Cruiserweight division’s reboot.
