10 Most Terrifying WWE Stipulations Ever

10. First Blood

A few short years ago, blood used to be a far more common sight in professional wrestling than it is these days. Big PPV main events were actually more surprising if they didn't include a blade job. First Blood matches were therefore a little redundant - blood was hardly a rarity, explaining the stipulations' low position on this list. Nevertheless, it still deserves a place. The impact of a good First Blood match from a promotion such as TNA or ROH can have quite an impact upon an audience now accustomed to the PG nature of WWE programming. Even back in the days of the Attitude Era, First Blood matches had a certain unique drama. Although bleeding was the likely outcome of a big match anyway, the absolute guarantee of blood can set the pulses racing just that little bit more. Add to this the fact that most bladejobs in such matches are on the heavy side - excluding those which end cheaply (surely one of the most annoying occurrences in wrestling) - and it's easy to see why the First Blood stipulation has the potential to be highly dramatic.
