Undertaker and Booker never had an extended rivalry, but they were certainly no strangers to one another, having had short feuds in 2001, 2004 and 2006/07. Their first, which culminated in a match at No Mercy 2001, was an offshoot of the Booker/Test versus Kane/Undertaker feud and, by extension, the WWF versus The Alliance storyline. The invaders kept getting the upper hand on the Brothers of Destruction so 'Taker cost them the Tag Team Titles in a match with The Hardys. How spiteful. Booker, understandably upset at this, challenged Undertaker to a match at No Mercy. Undertaker accepted and went on to win the match with the Last Ride. And that was the end of that. Flash forward a few years, and the two men would clash on PPV again, this time at Judgement Day 2004. The story behind this one was a little different, with the recently drafted to Smackdown Booker claiming he was the top star of the blue brand. The Undertaker, who had just returned a couple of months beforehand at WrestleMania, took exception to this. Then things got a little silly. Unsure of how to deal with The Phenom, Booker visited a voodoo witch who told him he needed to use dirt from an unmarked grave. So he went to the graveyard and got some. Undertaker played some mind games. The Dead Man's eyes weren't the only ones rolling into the back of his head during this feud... It might have been silly, but at least it was memorable, and kind of fun because Booker was so effortlessly entertaining and completely embraced the goofy storyline. Undertaker won their grudge match at Judgement Day, ending the feud. The two would face off again several times in 2006/07 when Booker became 'King' Booker, but they never had another big PPV match. Still, their matches together were usually good.
