7. Test Vs. Shane McMahon

Before Shane McMahon proved himself to be perhaps the most insane member of the McMahon family - no small feat - by launching himself off the TitanTron and getting hurled through plexiglass windows, he showed glimpses of his mental instability in his feud with Test.

Prior to this storyline - in which Shane tried to stop Test's marriage to his sister Stephanie on the grounds that he was "beneath the family's standards" - we knew that Shane-O-Mac had the gift of gab. But we didn't know how extremely proficient he was in near death experiences.

Their back-and-forth had some terrific moments, some of which even incorporated The Mean Street Posse in a meaningful way. Every week Shane would send his cronies out to bully Test into backing off of his sister. It didn't work, obviously, and their animosity toward one another boiled over in a "Love Her or Leave Her" match at SummerSlam.

Test was literally wrestling for Stephanie's hand in marriage. Shane was wrestling for the exact opposite. The stakes, as they say, couldn't have been higher.

The match showcased both rookie's surprising athleticism, with Shane executing a damn impressive corkscrew moonsault and introducing the world to his now signature top rope elbow drop through the Spanish announce table. Test came out of this one smelling like roses, which should be the result of any good rivalry.
