10 Most Underrated WWE SummerSlam Matches Of All Time

10. Hair Vs. Hair: X-Pac Vs. Jeff Jarrett - 1998

This is one of those randomly fun matches during the 1998 SummerSlam event that was one of the stronger SummerSlam cards ever mostly because there was nothing on it that was really that bad. It's a solid show from top to bottom. The story going into it was that X-Pac had ring announcer Howard Finkel supporting him with Degeneration X while Jarrett had Dennis Knight & Mark Canterbury as Southern Justice watching his back. You might remember as the Godwinns and a bunch of other names too. Since both guys had long hair, they decided to make it a match where the loser had his head shaved. They had an entertaining back and forth match with a hot crowd in Madison Square Garden. Even though X-Pac smashed a guitar over Jarrett's head, the ref was apparently deaf as he tried to keep Southern Justice from interfering. X-Pac won and shaved Jarrett's head along with some of his friends. The match was likely done just because Jarrett wanted to go to a look with shorter hair, so they were smart enough to make a match out of it.
