With Antonio Inoki, we had a well-known performer who was saddled with an ill-conceived, mostly forgotten title. In the case of Ezekiel Jackson's Intercontinental title run, there's an established belt around the waist of a performer who only hardcore wrestling fans will likely remember.

Jackson was the type of prototypical musclebound, big man WWE highers ups tend to salivate over. However, despite his impressive appearance, the former champ's mic skill left something to be desired. Moreover, WWE's decision to prematurely turn him into a babyface, instead of keeping him as a monster heel (a role he was better suited for) further accelerated his career demise.

Ezekiel Jackson's mostly forgotten 51-day reign as Intercontinental champion was nothing to write home about. If it isn't the case already, in the not too distant future, young wrestling fans will be looking at a list of I.C. titleholders and asking, 'who was this Ezekiel Jackson guy?'
