What match are you looking forward to the most during this year's BOSJ?
NJPW's signature junior heavyweight tournament, Best of the Super Jr., is back and after a few years of smaller brackets, we get to see not just Japan's finest but also competitors from all around the world. This marks the first appearance in the tournament for Clark Connors, Wheeler Yuta, Ace Austin, Alex Zayne, and El Lindaman.
This is the 29th instalment of the tournament and the first time in two years it has gone back to its traditional two-block format and May to June date. During the COVID era, it ran alongside the World Tag League, but now both tournaments will get the spotlight they deserve.
The lineup includes imports from NJPW Strong, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, IMPACT Wrestling, GLEAT, and All Elite Wrestling. It will be exciting for fans to see the likes of Titan of CMLL and Clark Connors who recently graduated from the LA Dojo back in the New Japan fold after being away so long.

10. Block B: BUSHI Vs El Deperado
Do you like hard-hitting, high-flying, lucha libre-inspired wrestling with a hint of brutality? Well, this match should deliver it and it will take place on 26th May in Tokyo.
BUSHI has been around the block a few times but didn't really start to find himself until he joined Los Ingonabolus de Japon. Trained in the AJPW Dojo and heavily influenced by trainers Animal Hamaguchi, Kaz Hayashi, Skayde, and Keiji Mutoh, BUSHI has a style all his own. While in New Japan he has been an IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. along with this, he is also a four-time NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champion, achieving this as part of L.I.J.
El Desperado is a fan favorite both at home in Japan and internationally. Trained in the New Japan Dojo by Jado and Koji Kanemoto and wrestling in both CMLL and Pro-Wrestling NOAH, along with New Japan Pro Wrestling, has created a mysterious aura around him. winning championships in all three promotions is no mean feat and he is a four-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion, a two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, and has also won the Junior Tag Leauge alongside Yoshinobu Kaneamaru.
