6. A New Wyatt Family?

Despite what this article may suggest so far, there’s more to the WWE than its Women’s Championship.

Elsewhere on the Battleground card, we saw the Wyatt Family defeat the New Day in what was seemingly the victors’ final outing as a faction.

However, there was a suggestion later in the night that reports of the Wyatt Family’s death had been a premature exaggeration. Michael Cole noted that this would be the final time we’d be seeing the Wyatts specifically in this particular incarnation.

So does this mean we could be set to see more from the Wyatts in a new capacity?

Keeping the group together across two brands would certainly be original, with a Bray tribe on SmackDown and a Braun tribe on Raw, though logistically you wonder how it would work. And besides, such a scenario isn’t entirely in line with Cole’s suggestion of a new incarnation.

So perhaps we’ll be seeing a new Wyatt member recruited. My money had been on Xavier Woods in light of the sudden sprouting of facial hair. Again, that may not be possible with both men on different brands.

Either way, the new direction for the Wyatts may in fact be that the group doesn’t meet its expected demise, and rather than the end this may just be the start of a new manifestation of the faction.

That or I'm reading far too much into Cole's words...
