2. Claudio Questioning Bryan

During the build to Double Or Nothing, a concerned Claudio Castagnoli questioned the wisdom of Bryan Danielson putting himself under the gun by agreeing to 'Anarchy In The Arena' again. When a bloody Bryan was shown holding a sneaker covered in thumbtacks on the pay-per-view, Claudio's words flooded back into view.

What the hell are you doing, Dragon?

In storyline, Claudio was bang on. In reality, car crash matches like Sunday's main event are fairly useless so close to the end of Danielson's run. Now, Castagnoli has every reason to turn his back on a friend who refuses to listen to common sense. Then, the pair can thrive in technical masterpieces that get a wee bit dirty when it suits.

Blackpool Combat Club is one AEW concept that stopped being essential as soon as William Regal dashed back to WWE, and it's time to move on from the group. Bryan struck out on his own as part of a hastily assembled 'Team AEW' anyway, so his stablemates should be shaking their heads.

Especially Claudio. He did warn Danielson.
