10 New Directions For WWE After Clash Of Champions 2019

2. Another Female HIAC Headliner

Becky Lynch Sasha Banks
WWE

Any edge Becky Lynch lost when smooching Seth Rollins or carrying Lacey Evans through matches earlier this year was regained in one showing against Sasha Banks. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that 'The Man' needs to be presented as a lone wolf who doesn't take any crap and is even willing to do the dirty on others herself.

That's why her feud with Sasha works. They're both incredibly similar as characters these days.

Who does that sound like? That parity is something Banks and Charlotte Flair had in 2016, and it's why they got to headline Hell In A Cell that year. Coming out of Sunday's Clash, Sasha should be furious that Lynch tried to put her back on the injured list by locking on a chair-assisted Disarmer. Her fury will lead to another go-around in this rivalry.

HIAC, more specifically the Cell match itself, is tantalisingly flashing its knickers on the horizon. WWE could have worse main events on 6 October than 'The Man vs. The Boss' inside the big cage. It sounds like a must if the next pay-per-view is going to do well anyway.
