3. Or A Full-Blown New Day Split?

Or, what if the cracks appearing in New Day's seemingly impenetrable armour are about to be blown wide open by some admittedly risky booking? What if, says the man at the back of the room, WWE are willing to break the group up and move on from pancakes, hip-gyrations, trombones and catchphrases?

It's possible.

New Day has run its course as a concept. If one is being daring, he might suggest that Kofi Kingston's title win at 'Mania was the true end of their story. Now, living in the fallout of a fairly pedestrian summer, Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi are struggling to maintain interest in their dynamic as a trio. It's agonising to watch at times from the outside.

Things would be remedied immediately if E suddenly had an epiphany, realised time was of the essence and put his own title ambitions ahead of friendship. They could split amicably in the end, but some strain and suspense would do New Day good.
